Defeat of DRP Replacement Bill Ensures Continuation of a Broken Program

TETAF joins Texas Hospital Association (THA) in expressing disappointment over the defeat of HB 2068.

In a press release sent today, THA states:

“We are deeply disappointed that certain interest groups blocked passage of House Bill 2068 in the last days of the 85th legislature. HB 2068 would have replaced the Driver Responsibility Program with a fairer, more just system of fines for traffic violaters and those convicted or without auto insurance.”

The full press release is available online.
