Texas Hospitals Urge Delay or Repeal of Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital Payment Reductions

In July, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services proposed a rule to implement the Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital payment reductions beginning fiscal year 2018 through 2025, as required by the Affordable Care Act.

The Texas Hospital Association has called for the repeal or delay the cuts, as Texas hospitals stand to lose about $150 million in federal funding in 2018 alone.
