RAC-G Partners to Host Successful Hypertension Conference
On September 22, the Piney Woods Regional Advisory Council partnered with the Texas Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Partnership to host a successful hypertension conference in Tyler.
Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is a significant risk factor for heart disease and stroke affecting 29.5 percent of Texans. This conference served to educate the public on the importance of controlling high blood pressure, taught risk factors to be aware of and shared best practices to manage and treat high blood pressure.
