April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month

Despite a statewide texting ban, distracted driving is still a major cause of trauma in Texas. April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month and TETAF encourages all stakeholders to spread the word on common driving distractions, including:

  • Answering a call
  • Responding to a text
  • Checking email
  • Eating
  • Socializing with friends in the car
  • Listening to loud music

Resources include TETAF's Just Drive! campaign and the Department of State Health Services Adolescent Health Program.
