Support Rural Trauma Care
The Texas Trauma System was established 35 years ago with the passage of the Omnibus Rural Health Care Rescue Act. The focus on ensuring quality trauma care is available in rural Texas is as important today as it was in 1989. TETAF established the TETAF Rural Trauma System Development Fund to support the ongoing needs of rural trauma caregivers. Through this fund, each of us has an opportunity to further reinforce trauma care provided in rural Texas.
Giving Tuesday is December 3 and it’s a perfect opportunity to support rural trauma care; care that is needed when it’s least expected and needed by anyone who lives in or travels through a rural area. Increased demands have threatened rural hospitals to continue their trauma designation, which serves as a critical part of saving lives throughout the state. Any amount toward the TETAF Rural Trauma System Development Fund is appreciated, and you can also show your support by clicking the Become a Fundraiser button on the donation page to fundraise on behalf of TETAF.
Together, we can continue to strengthen the Texas Trauma System by supporting rural trauma care and the TETAF Rural Trauma System Development Fund.
